Vintage ads are frameable time capsules that can be incorporated into almost any decor with wonderful results and they make thoughtful gifts for almost any occasion. Many vintage ads were actual images created by famous painters and artists for an advertiser, only published once and never appeared again, making some highly collectible! Some reknowned artists would include, Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, Salvador Dali, Arthur Szyk, Peter Max, Bob Peak, Paul Rand, Aaron Borhod and Georges Schreiber. There are so, so many more, the list could go on and on.
A vintage advertisement is a bit of history in art and can show us fads and fashions from the past and what was valued and important to our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.
